Sorry to hear this. I can only praise the Macmillan nurses who cared for my late wife. I couldn’t fault the care package they gave her. It’s a bastard knowing that someone you love will no longer be with you. Spend as much time with your brother as you can, talk to him, read to him, he will understand what’s happening. Good luck and god bless.

Re: My brother Chris
Thanks so much everyone.
It is an utter bastard. Me and my brother are the very best of mates. Going to West Ham together (away games since 1984) and to gigs since 1986. Haven't argued in nearly 40 years and there is nothing left unsaid between us. We started a live music promotion company (Goodsoul Promotions) in 2012, with our Mum as well. Mum died in 2018, and me and Chris have been living together since.
Bill, will pass on your kind wishes mate x

Re: My brother Chris
Very sorry to hear that Mike, but pleased to hear what a solid family you have been. I went through something similar with my brother Dennis a few years ago and received nothing but love on here, as always when something like this happens, we are more like a family than a bunch of squabbling, degenerate cunts.

It may not mean much to you, but you will both be in my prayers anyway.

Godspeed Chris.

Re: My brother Chris
Very sorry to hear this. Although it's good to hear that you are very close to your brother, hopefully you can take strength from that as many others never experience that. I know it's no consolation and infact will make things much harder but shared memories remain. I pray for a miracle for your brother and the best outcome for you and your family.

Sorry to hear this, Mike. Words bring comfort but the pain can be unbearable. It is good to know 'Bruv' is with the best carer he could possibly have.
Your mum was a wonderful lady, Mike. Plenty of good times to recall.
Take care,
Tony.

Re: My brother Chris
My old man died in Newham General a couple of years ago of Kidney cancer.

Diagnosed on Tuesday, died on Sunday. He never got over my mum dying 15 months before and just let himself go. He eventually told me that it was no surprise that he had cancer as he'd been pissing blood for 2 years and kept it secret.

It's a cunt of an illness but (as we all know) but he went fairly easy. He seemed to wait until my uncle Billy and my little brother (who he adored-much more than me) on Sunday morning, opened his eyes to see them and slipped away.

I think that we don't talk about cancer enough.

So Mike I wish you a miracle or Chris an easy ride like my dad had.

I think most of us on here have you in our thoughts or prayers.

Re: My brother Chris
Thanks again everyone for your kind words (what the fuck is wrong with you! 😉) and thoughts.
Bahammer, cheers Tony, much appreciated mate. And good to hear from you, in spite of the shit circumstances.
I'm thinking it's going to be sooner rather than later, but got all the support in, family and friends coming to visit and all the love I can give.
All your words are truly appreciated at times like this. So thank you all so much.
chim, so sorry you had to go through that mate. And it is an utter fucker.
Bless you all.
